This year's entry to the UK Songwriting Competition is Shut Up n Boogie.
You can check it out on YouTube. Please leave a comment on YouTube if you like it.

In 2008 Mike entered four songs into the UK Songwriting Contest.

Mr Fame was awarded 'Commended Entry' in the Indie category.

True Love reached the Semi-Finals of the 'Pop' category.

Come on Home reached the Semi-Finals of the 'Adult Contemporary' category along with For Sarah which caused the judges a dilema and narrowly missed the finals.

The UK Songwriting Contest is the nation's major contest to find the country's best songwriters and is held annually in association with The BRIT Trust, The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters, The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers, BBC Radio, The World Music Foundation, Music Aid UK and other music industry bodies.

To get three songs on the Semi-Finals and one Commended Entry is not bad for the first time round.
